HELP Harvest
A Pathway Toward Community Employment
HELP Harvest was launched in 2022 to expand and enhance HELP’s vocational services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so that individuals have an opportunity to learn important work skills that help them obtain integrated community jobs.
The HELP Harvest Vocational Training Program includes the HELP Harvest Greenhouse, HELP Harvest Kitchen and Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest.
Our seed to table concept grows hydroponic produce at our greenhouse which is harvested and prepared at the HELP Harvest Kitchen and sold at Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest at the Cleveland Foundation.
HELP Harvest Greenhouse Located in Euclid, this 4,000 square foot hydroponic greenhouse and attached classroom provide vocational training for adults who are interested in learning and developing job skills. Filled with Nutrient Film Technique tables, we grow a variety of beautiful and delicious lettuce to make salads and other healthy food dishes. We also grow tomatoes, herbs, and broccoli. A state-of-the-art classroom ensures a curriculum-based learning environment that promotes a place to learn and practice vital soft skills. Upon completion of the program, individuals are well prepared for community jobs of all varieties and tailored to their interests. Please schedule a time to come visit us.
HELP Harvest Kitchen is located at 18228 Sloane Avenue in Lakewood, and serves as a training facility to prepare, package, and label produce grown at HELP Harvest Greenhouse. Our remodeled commercial kitchen serves as a hands-on training kitchen, which produces all varieties of food choices and focuses on healthy options. Please schedule a time to visit us.
Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest is located at 6601 Euclid Avenue in Midtown, Cleveland. This unique partnership with the Cleveland Foundation is a natural extension of our long history of serving healthy and savory food options to the community. This site offers a stepping-stone for individuals who are eager to learn front of the house hospitality services and for persons who are ready to graduate into community employment. Located inside the new Cleveland Foundation headquarters in the heart of MidTown, Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest offers coffee, tea, specialty drinks, all-day breakfast, cold sandwiches, pressed paninis, salads, high protein lunch selections, and snacks. Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest also features partnerships with iconic local food vendors in the MidTown district that showcase some of the best culinary offerings in Cleveland.
